When we founded Beeple in 2016, we had a clear goal: to create a powerful yet simple planning and communication tool for the growing number of companies working with flexible staff. From our home base in Belgium, we grew into a market-leading tech scale-up, becoming a central platform that connects staffing agencies, clients, and temporary workers. We were proud to have built a strong, recognizable brand in the Benelux region and had ambitions to expand even further.
As we continued to grow, we found ourselves at a crossroads. We were attracting interest from various potential partners, and it became clear that we had multiple strategic options available to us. At the same time, the mood in global technology was shifting. Macroeconomic unease had begun to chill the M&A environment. Where buyers had until recently been eager and valuations robust, uncertainty was creeping in. How could we secure the right outcome for Beeple while buyers everywhere were growing cautious?
We knew we needed as advisors experienced dealmakers who understood not only how to position a company for maximum value, but also how to drive momentum when markets cooled. That conviction led us to Venero Capital Advisors.
From the outset, Venero made a difference by:
Their approach did not rely on market euphoria. Instead, Venero insulated the transaction from market noise by making the fundamentals—the product-market fit, proven traction, and demonstrated value—absolutely central to every buyer conversation.
One thing that stood out was how Venero’s management of the process shaped buyer behavior even as macro sentiment deteriorated. Instead of drawn-out negotiations, we saw urgency. Instead of opportunistic offers, we received competing, motivated bids that clearly articulated both value and vision.
By keeping the process time-bound and competitive, Venero:
In our view, this was the single most important lever in landing a result that far exceeded what we saw in other transactions during the same period.
I would like to extend our appreciation to the Venero team who supported Beeple’s shareholders throughout this transaction. They helped us assess multiple options before selecting the one that was the best fit for us.
When the deal closed and Beeple joined a leading European software group, it was at a valuation that proved the right strategy and execution can outshine the macro cycle.
Fueling our growth: Venero navigated the capital maze to find our perfect investment partners.
Interest from U.S. and global buyers surged, but as a founder, steering an international sale process was daunting.
