Director, Investment Banking (M&A)

The role will focus on executing Venero's corporate finance mandates, working alongside the firm's senior bankers and junior analysts.

We are looking for individuals with the following attributes:
- 4-6 years M&A experience
- Previously either at a bulge bracket firm, top-tier boutique investment bank or the corporate finance division of a Big 4 accountancy firm
- Excellent financial modelling skills
- Demonstrable deal execution experience
- Fluency in English
- Native/bi-lingual/proficient in geographic coverage language (German, French, Dutch or Swedish)
- Highly motivated, strong work ethic, client-focused
Corporate Finance Analyst
We are looking for individuals with an entrepreneurial spirit and keen interest in corporate finance who are eager to gain hands-on experience in M&A and capital raising early on in their careers.
The ideal candidate will have a genuine passion for technology and investment banking, should have an excellent academic background in Accounting and Finance, Economics, Engineering or Business Administration, and be highly numerical and articulate. The candidate must be a team player, considerably self-motivated, keen to take on responsibility, and able to demonstrate an entrepreneurial mindset.
Please note: Thorough understanding of finance & accounting is an absolute requirement.

- Review financial document – reviewing financial statements, business plans, industry reports, Information Memoranda, etc.;
- Create financial models and pitch materials – preparing financial models, pitches and marketing materials with sector research and analysis;
- Sector coverage – performing independent research and various analyses of companies in support of new business generation;
- Transaction documentation – supporting the preparation of investment documents (e.g. executive summaries, investment memorandums, investor presentations, financial models);
- General support on M&A processes – involvement in assembling, developing, and/or editing information requests, due diligence lists, confidentiality agreements and proposals;
- Teamwork – working together with our team across Europe and the US.
